How the guides are written
Each guide answers one problem a reader brought to a search box, and it answers it in the first two sentences.
Checked against the tools
Anything a guide says about a PDFslime tool is checked against how that tool actually behaves. When a tool changes, the guides that describe it are reread.
Sources you can follow
Every outside figure links to the page it came from, usually the vendor or standards body that published it. Numbers without a source are rewritten or removed.
Corrected in the open
When a guide changes in a way that matters, its updated date moves. Spelling fixes and layout changes do not move the date, so the date tells you when the advice last changed.
Plain words
The guides are written for someone with a deadline and a file that will not cooperate, so they skip the throat-clearing and name the setting, the error or the step.
